Crowd funding a laser cutter

From Open Garage Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

If we want the Open Garage to function as a more complete "FabLab" we'll need more lasers, right?

We're looking at various models and prices seem to be around $2000 for a machine. Because this is a bit steep for one person to buy, we're thinking of buying such a machine as a group.

If you are interested in joining this acquisition, please indicate how much you want to "invest" so you can become a "shareholder" in the laser cutter.

In return, use of the laser cutter will be at a small price (taken from your shares if you have any) so we can have a bit of our investments returned. I want to open up the garage to the shareholders on other days than Thursdays so they can make optimal use of the machine.
